Follow all local, state and federal regulations when servicing mobile A/C systems and read this instruction sheet prior to starting any repairs.
IMPORTANT: This compressor ships WITHOUT oil inside. The correct A/C compressor oil is included in the package and must be added before installation. Never install or run the compressor without oil.
Remove compressor, receiver drier or accumulator, orifice tube or expansion valve.
Flush the condenser and evaporator using NON-OIL BASED A/C flush. On expansion valve systems THE VALVE MUST BE REMOVED before the evaporator can be flushed. FLUSH CONDENSERS FROM OUTLET TO INLET AND EVAPORATORS FROM INLET TO OUTLET.
WARNING: THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON FROZEN/LOCKED UP OR PHYSICALLY BROKEN A/C COMPRESSORS. MAKE SURE THE PROVIDED OIL IS ADDED AND THE SYSTEM IS NOT CONTAMINATED BEFORE INSTALLING THE COMPRESSOR.
WARNING: NEWER STYLE CONDENSER DESIGNS ARE VERY HARD TO FLUSH, AND SOMETIMES IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO SO. IN THOSE CASES, IF THE COMPRESSOR HAS A MAJOR FAILURE, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE CONDENSER BE REPLACED.
Slowly add 2 to 2.5 ounces of the provided PAG A/C oil through the larger port of the compressor. Turn the compressor shaft 8–10 full revolutions to ensure the front seal and other internal parts are lubricated.
Install a new receiver drier or accumulator and a new orifice tube or expansion valve.
Evacuate the A/C system for a minimum of one hour.
After evacuation, install half the refrigerant charge and let the system sit for 1 minute. This will allow the refrigerant to pick up oil and spread more evenly throughout the system.
Start the engine with the A/C controls on MAX AIR with the doors and windows open. Add the remaining refrigerant charge as specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
